GLAREAL COAT is a consortium of companies and research organisations in Czech Republic and Germany. The project aims to investigate and develop the potential of areal atmospheric pressure plasmas for applications at glass surfaces, like homogeneous cleaning prior to coating steps, adhesion improvements of paintings and in safety glasses or reduction of chemical waste due to the plasma process in comparison to chemical cleaning.

CEZANNE aims to develop an innovative Atmospheric Pressure PECVD (AP-PECVD) coating process meeting industrial speed (up to 500 m/min) and costs constraints in order to fulfil the on-growing need of specific properties (antistain, adhesion etc.) of international customers in many applications, such as paper, textiles etc. CEZANNE will demonstrate the technology potential on the production of silicon-free release liners, and will develop a specific on-line control tool.
