OrelTech company located in Ness Ziona, Israel, has used in 2016-2017 an atmospheric plasma reactor based on DCSBD technology developed by Professor Černák and his team at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic.

The reactor was used in an R&D project, the goal of which was to find new industrially applicable solutions for metallization of surfaces in ambient conditions. The DCSBD reactor showed great potential and inspired new collaborative projects between OrelTech and Prof. Černák.

"Professor Černák and his team at Masaryk University in Brno and Comenius University in Bratislava have designed a plasma reactor based on DCSBD technology and placed it at SP in Stockholm (former YKI, Institute for Surface Chemistry).

The reactor was installed in 2006 and has been used in several industrial projects since then. The main applications have been to improve surface properties of nonwoven and textiles, plastic films, pulp and paper, wood, etc. The DCSBD reactor has proven to be an extremely powerful tool to modify many different surfaces at ambient conditions.

The collaboration with and support from prof. Černák´s group has always been excellent and we are looking forward to many new projects together in the future."
