ESCAMPIG 1st Announcement is here! The ESCAMPIG (Europhysics Conference on Atomic and Molecular Physics and Ionized Gases) is a biennial conference of EPS (European Physical Society). Conference topics are basic and applied plasma research. It will be held in Brno for the first time in Czechia on 9-13 July 2024.
International biennial conference of European Physical Society is held in Czechia for the first time. ESCAMPIG (Europhysics Conference on Atomic and Molecular Physics and Ionized Gases) will take place from 9th – 13th July 2024 at the Božetěchova campus of Faculty of Information Technology, Brno University of Technology (BUT). The event is organized by the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology of Masaryk University, the CEPLANT center and the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists.
Two lectures held during Mendel Days 2025 invite visitors to explore the connection between ancient philosophy and modern plasma science. From the concept of fire as a classical element to cutting-edge plasma research at CEPLANT and DPPT, the program offers a unique insight into how this powerful state of matter is studied and applied in industry, biology, and materials science.
The 4th Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplications (PNB) Workshop took place from October 20-23, 2025, in Češkovice near Blansko, bringing together 37 researchers from seven institutions across four European countries. Since its founding in 2019, the workshop has grown into a valued tradition that fosters collaboration within the PNB research group and its international partners. This year’s program featured inspiring presentations, joint project discussions, and networking in the scenic surroundings of the Moravian Karst.
