Research Stay of Michal Pazderka in Toulouse

Michal Pazderka completed a two‑week research stay at Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, where he collaborated with the group of Prof. Nicolas Naudé on advancing new diagnostic methods in plasma physics. The stay was supported by the COLOSSE project, which enables the expansion of international cooperation and the transfer of expertise to our department.

Researchers Collaborate with EM2C on Microwave Plasma Jet Modeling

Dr. Zdeněk Bonaventura and Ph.D. student Radoslav Brunovský from the Plasma Diagnostics and Modelling research group, completed a research stay at Laboratoire EM2C, CentraleSupélec, France. Their work focused on the development of a microwave plasma jet model used in the EM2C laboratory.

Pavel Souček represented SCI MU at the UAAT & ICU Symposium

On December 8, 2025, our colleague Assoc. Prof. Pavel Souček represented Faculty of Science, Masaryk University as the cooperation coordinator for the STEM field in the Czech Republic at the UAAT & ICU Joint Symposium hosted by Charles University in Prague. This meeting brings together University Academic Alliance in Taiwan (UAAT) and Interested Czech Universities (ICU) to focus on Taiwan–Czech cooperation, knowledge exchange, and creating unique learning and research opportunities for students and researchers.

František Zažímal Presented Plasma-Based Water Treatment at IWA 2025

Our PhD student František Zažímal shared his research at the IWA Water Development Congress 2025 in Bangkok, introducing a novel approach that combines low-temperature plasma and graphitic carbon nitride nanoflakes to improve pharmaceutical removal from wastewater. Anastasia Moskvina is new Brno Ph.D. Talent

Brno Ph.D. Talent Project announced its new winners. From physics at Masaryk University, Anastasia Moskvina was successful in Plasma Physics. Anastasia works under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Tomáš Homola at the Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplications research group. In her project, she will focus on creating plasma-modified MXene-loaded scaffolds that combine osteosarcoma therapy through photothermal and photodynamic effects with bone tissue regeneration support.
