CEPLANT researcher presented their respective research at the international conference HAKONE XVIII – 18th International Symposium on High Pressure Low Temperature Plasma Chemistry.
A visit from the Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín in Slovakia occurred at the end of March. Within the Open Access activities of the CEPLANT center at the end of March. The Faculty of Industrial Technologies delegates in Púchov were interested in the plasma treatment of non-vulcanized rubber.
Within the Open Access, a delegation from the Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín (TnUAD) in Slovakia visited our CEPLANT center. Prof. Darina Ondrušková, the dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technologies in Púchov (FPT), and Prof. Mariana Pajtašová, the head of the Department of Materials and Environmental Engineering (KMTE), with a Ph.D. student Silvia Ďurišová arrived at the end of March. Their visit aimed for the plasma treatment of non-vulcanized rubber and subsequent XPS analysis of treated samples. Their laboratories are not equipped to treat samples with higher-power plasma sources. In addition to the experiments, there was also time for an excursion to the laboratories of electron spectroscopy and SIMS and MALDI mass techniques.
We hope that the results of the experiments will be beneficial and that the cooperation we have started will continue to flourish. We are pleased that we could help colleagues from FPT in their research within our Open Access mode. The infrastructure of the CEPLANT center is available to all external users from the academic sphere, free of charge. You can find the terms and conditions and the application form here.
