From 1 July 2024, the project No. CZ.02.01.01/00/23_015/0008177 is being implemented within the CEPLANT large research infrastructure. CEPLANT-UP is co-financed by the European Union from the Programme Johannes Amos Comenius.
The project No. CZ.02.01.01/00/23_015/0008177 is called "Upgrade and Modernization of the Centre for Research and Development of Plasma and Nanotechnological Surface Treatments."
The main objective of the CEPLANT-UP project is to ensure the modernization of the existing equipment of the large CEPLANT research infrastructure to further strengthen and develop the services offered, with an emphasis on the use of the expertise and experience of the large CEPLANT research infrastructure through the integration of basic and applied research. The modernization will be achieved by acquiring five new instruments: XPS, SEM, magnetron deposition equipment with HiPIMS technology, a streak camera system with a monochromator, and a picosecond photomultiplier.
The project runs until 31 December 2026 with a total budget of almost CZK 60 million.
Petr Vašina, Pavel Souček and Matej Fekete participated in the 21st Plansee Seminar – an international conference dedicated to advancing knowledge in Refractory Metals and Hard Materials, held at the headquarters of the Plansee Group in Reutte, Austria.
Dr. Kelar participated in experiments with our colleagues from the VUB Co.Ltd. (Czech Republic) at Elmarco in Liberec, a leading manufacturer of Nanospider® technology.
