Alex Destrieux as an invited researcher in Brno
The treatment of organic materials for photovoltaics is the research topic of Alex Destrieux. After finishing his PhD in Canada, the French scientist came to Brno to continue his work.
At the beginning of April, the Day with ERC, an event for junior researchers took place. The aim of the discussion meeting for junior scientists is networking. Dr. Jakub Kelar from the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology was nominated as a representative from the Faculty of Science.
The 1st networking event for junior researchers called Day wirh ERC was held at Cahteau Třešť on 9th and 10th April 2024. The aim of the discussion meeting was to provide an informal platform for junior scientists to exchange experiences with ERC and ERC CZ grant holders and evaluators. The event is intended as a prelude to the National Information Day on ERC Grants. The event is organised by the Czech Academy of Sciences, Charles University, Technology Centre Prague and the Expert Support Group for ERC Applicants. The Czech Minister of Science, Research and Innovation, Helena Langšádlová was also present during this event.
From the Faculty of Science, the Vice Dean for Research and Internationalisation Assoc. Prof. Ctirad Hofr nominated Dr. Jakub Kelar, a scientist from the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology and the CEPLANT Research Centre, specifically from the Plasma Nanotechnology and Bioapplication research group.
