Days of Electron Microscopy 2024 in Brno are starting
We invite you to Days of Electron Microscopy 2024! For the first time, the CEPLANT center and the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology together with the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, are participating. Take a look at the offered program! It starts today.
As the capital of electron microscopy, Brno presents the Days of Electron Microscopy 2024. This year's topic is microscopic villains. The week-long event takes place from March 18 - 24. It is associated with various lectures and exhibitions for the public, families with children, and experts. The event is organized by the Brno Observatory and Planetarium and its partners. It offers a taste of what electron microscopy makes possible. Take a look at the entire event program.
Since yesterday, an exhibition of microscopic villains has been installed in the gallery of the shopping center Vaňkovka. In its center is a new model of a microscopic villain, a mite. CEPLANT is presented with its own poster. Go and check it out!

Brno Ph.D. Talent Project announced its new winners. From physics at Masaryk University, Anastasia Moskvina was successful in Plasma Physics. Anastasia works under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Tomáš Homola at the Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplications research group. In her project, she will focus on creating plasma-modified MXene-loaded scaffolds that combine osteosarcoma therapy through photothermal and photodynamic effects with bone tissue regeneration support.

Prof. Dušan Kováčik highlighted the role of plasma surface modification research from the DPPT and the CEPLANT Centre, illustrating how cutting-edge innovations can enhance forensic methodologies and education.
