At the end of February 2020, colleagues from the Center for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass (Funglass Center in Trenčín) visited CEPLANT Centre to see the possibilities in plasma processing.
FunGlass researchers MSc. Aruchamy, Dr. Neščáková, Dr. Parchoviansky, Dr. Velazquéz visited the CEPLANT centre in Brno to see the possibilities in plasma processing. The Center for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass (Funglass Center in Trenčín) aims to create an internationally recognized centre of excellence of research in the field of glass-based functional materials. Assoc. Prof. Dušan Kováčik introduced the centre by a presentation followed by a lab tour. Dr. Kelar, Dr. Štepánová, MSc. Sihelník and other researches demonstrated the plasma treatment by different generators, and introduced analyses of treated samples (glasses, metals, polymers). The visiting researchers got the possibility to work with proper samples and discussed the potential application to material processing in the FunGlass Center. Details here.
