Alex Destrieux as an invited researcher in Brno
The treatment of organic materials for photovoltaics is the research topic of Alex Destrieux. After finishing his PhD in Canada, the French scientist came to Brno to continue his work.
The Research Group Optics of Thin Films and Solid Surfaces is now working on the project Advanced Optics for Applications of Ultrashort Laser Pulses in the DUV, VIS and NIR Wave Region (reg. no. CZ.01.01.01/01/22_002/0000677) funded by the Operational Programme Technology and Applications for Competitiveness.
The project Advanced Optics for Applications of Ultrashort Laser Pulses in the DUV, VIS and NIR Wave Region is implemented within a consortium consisting of 4 members, one of which is a small enterprise (TTS, s.r.o.), two research organisations (MUNI and BUT) and one mid-cap (Meopta - optika, s.r.o.).
The aim of the project is to implement optical elements in ultra-short laser pulses in the form of anti-reflective coverage, light dividers, metallic and high-reflection mirrors for wavelengths of 257 nm, 343 nm, 515 nm and 1 030 nm. Verification of the technological manufacturing of the optical elements from the deep ultraviolet to the near infrared. Implementation of functional samples of basic optical elements from the deep ultraviolet to the near infrared. Subsequent implementation of the individual findings into production (manufacturing and working procedures, technological processes).

We are pleased to announce that CEPLANT at Masaryk University, in partnership with Roplass Ltd., will host the upcoming R2R Net stakeholder meeting in Brno on October 16th. This event aims to bring together key stakeholders, experts, and industry partners from the roll-to-roll (R2R) business sector, providing an invaluable platform for knowledge exchange and collaborative discussion.
