Delong Instruments is a private Czech company without foreign participation. The leading company goal is the research, development, and implementation of nonstandard electron optic systems for wide applications from microbiology through the semiconductor industry to high-resolution electron microscopy at an atomic level. The company's main scope is low-voltage transmissive electron microscopy. New advanced and unique machines were developed within this scope. The company's strategy is to manufacture individual devices on a small scale successfully. The competitive advantage of Delonf Instruments is the possibility to implement physical ideas from the beginning to prototypes ready to be repeatedly manufactured.
The Heart of Europe workshop is a traditional gathering of scientists dealing with thin films. The center of Europe is presented by the Technical University of Vienna, Masaryk University in Brno, and Comenius University in Bratislava.
